Prof. Ye is selected as a Fellow of Korean Academy of Science and Technology (KAST). The KAIST Fellows are selected through a three-stage evaluation process for individuals who have been active in the field of science and technology for more than 20 years, and have made significant contributions to the advancement of their respective fields with innovative research achievements.
Prof. Ye was awarded the most prestigious mathematics award from Korea.
The Choisukjeong Award, created in 2021, commemorates the achievements of Choisukjeong, a politician and mathematician during the Chosun Dynasty. It is awarded to scientists who have contributed to basic mathematics, industrial mathematics, artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and the spread of mathematical culture. Prof.Ye was selected as a recipient of this award for his pioneering contributions to the advancement of medical AI and the dissemination of deep learning in the field of mathematics.
